Cultural Relations
Did you know that Estonia has a thriving jazz scene?
We have been working with cultural and creative communities across the country including the amazing Opera North and Leeds Conservatoire, as well as many iconic names in the music industry, to create opportunities and stimulate synergies for the creative industries of Britain and Estonia.

Business Relations
“Estonia is a country not a market”.
There are around 1.3 million people in Estonia, but there is also the highest venture capital activity per capita in the world. The country is also home to more unicorns per capita than anywhere else.
This is because Estonians automatically think global and test their ideas and innovation against a global market. This creates an agile succeed-or-fail culture with a no-nonsense approach to funding, partnerships, and getting things done.
The Honorary Consul, Professor Adam Beaumont, has driven numerous missions both from the UK to Estonia and vice versa. He’s also invested in Estonian startups and worked in a consortium with ESTBan (the Estonian Business Angels Network) as part of his activity with grassroots investment via his organisation, Northinvest. Northinvest was launched in Estonia in 2016 with the support of the then UK Ambassador to Estonia, Chris Holtby, and the support of His Excellency Lauri Bambus, the Estonian Ambassador to the UK.
